When is the last time you saw something in the store that you loved and you actually bought it? Most of us have a filter. We think things like “Oh I can’t wear that” or “that won’t look good” before we even give something a chance.
In my experience, that initial reaction to a garment is always pure and unfiltered. These are clues to your own personal style. Being in tune with this voice is a big part of developing and nurturing your unique fashion expression.
Need help tuning into the voice? Try this tips.
- Make the purchase. Instead of “wishing you could” pull something that you see in a store off, try it on. If it looks good on you, make the purchase and dare to wear it!
* Be comfortable in your body. Accept the shape you’re at NOW and learn how to dress it in the most fashionable way possible. Stop thoughts such as, “If I only I were ten pounds thinner.” Fashion is for NOW not for WHEN or IF ONLY… Those thoughts are not welcome.
- Nurture your favorite colors. Do you admire the combination of hot pink and black? Then wear it! Don’t let thoughts of trends or anything else stop you. Wear your favorite colors with pride no matter what the current fashion is.
- Don’t worry about the trends. The people who set the trends may have already moved on to something else, anyway. As explored in my post about the empire waist not everyone can where the trends with style anyway. Choose the ones you like and abandon the ones you don’t.
- Build your wardrobe with classic pieces. A few pairs of jeans, some dressy pants, classic button up shirts, a skirt, the little black dress… these are all must - haves for every wardrobe. These items are classic and timeless. Find the colors and styles that you like most and supplement the classic wardrobe with whatever trendy items meet your approval.
Some people seem to be born knowing what they look good in. You can be like that, too. Just trust your inner voice and you’ll look fabulous!
This is an example of that philosophy in action. I total thought that the shoes pictured are cute. I’m already picturing an outfit: black pencil skirt that goes to the knee, white button up shirt, and a faux strand of hot pink pearls. That’s totally my style.

The best thing about fashion is that there’ something new every season for us to play with. While the idea of revamping your whole wardrobe every few months is incredibly attractive, we’re guessing you’ll need amore realistic option. Here is one- pick up pieces in key colors of the season to give your wardrobe a quick and effective shot of seasonal freshness. Fushia rules as does a softer tink of pink. Lilacs replace the warmer purples of winter. Sapphire and royal blue add drama, as do canary yellow ochre and orange. With floral and foliage being an ubiquitous. Inspiration, green is significant color too. The natural color of choice to balance these intense shades is white.
Time to go shopping?

Royal arm candy
The elegant queen hand bag by Gucci is the season’s latest ‘it’ bag. & this one can multitask. U could work it in the boardroom or a night out too. This piece of pure Gucci glam will cost u Rs.109950.
On your feet
It seems to Angelina Jolie wears them. Along with half of
Europe’s royalty. After all. Geox shoes r the best selling brand of footwear in
Italy. Beside looking good on your feet , the shoes also come with tiny breathing hole which allow sweat to escape. But also keep out the cold & water. Sounds like a good plan.

Robin of Herrera
Robin Hood is back. & this time, he’s strutting is stuff on the ramp. (Ok, it’s not really him. It’s his look). Carolina Herrera sent out her models dressed up in feathered caps a la good old robin. & oddly enough. We think it’s pretty cool. A medieval legend sure spices up fashion, right?
The bangles r back Swarovski has got a few tricks up their sleeve (and all of them involve rolling up the sleeves first). The collection of bangles from the world major cities. & is inspired by urban landscape filled with skyscrapers. Sound fancy. & they look even better.
